proof of concept launch party features work from venice arts

thursday, december 15th technological and artistic think tank proof of concept opened their doors with a party to launch the company.  the event was co-hosted by deepmix and had a great mix of people who were treated to food from the kogi truck and music by reggae band, the splifftones.  in addition to seeing some of the proof of concept’s work and capabilities, the space was a gallery for photography created by kids who are part of venice arts programs.

based in venice, california, venice arts’ mission is to ignite youths’ imagination, mentor their creativity, and expand their sense of possibility through high quality, accessible media–based arts education programs. their programs also serve as a catalyst for people of all ages, living in low–income or underrepresented communities, to create and share personal and community stories through photography, film, and multi–media.  the work presented at proof of concept’s office showed a wide variety of subjects from some talented young photographers.  venice arts had a representative on site to share information on their programs and a variety of pieces from note cards to large photos were available for purchase.

proof of concept is a stable for a variety of talents and disciplines from creative development through post with directors, editors, designers, visual effects and a colorist under their roof.  the work they are producing is varied and runs from apps to webisodes and includes collaborating on shots for features and full production of commercials.

deepmix has been producing and supervising music for commercials for 10 years.  additionally the deep mix team has worked on films, video games and created music marketing programs and partnerships for a variety of corporations.  and, if you find yourself in hollywood on any tuesday evening, stop by the w hotel as deepmix is hosting station unplugged which features a variety of upcoming music talent.
